Program .pdf now online

Pdf This year we are providing an electronic version of the conference program so that you can review it ahead of time and bring it with you to the show. Consider it your playbook for a successful show. The .pdf version can be found here.

Because we have so many speakers covering so many topics, the program’s biographies section alone takes up many, many pages. So instead of including the complete bio for each speaker, the new electronic format allows us to link over to the InmanWiki, where you’ll find everything you need to know about all of our speakers.

This method has allowed us to reduce the number of pages in the program guide by more than 25%. So in that sense, you could say that the InmanWiki helped save a tree!

Launching Official LinkedIn Group

Handshake_3x4
Are you linked in? LinkedIn is a popular business social networking site that allows you to connect online with many of your business contacts.

It allows you to create a profile (consider it your resume on the Web) and link up with other people in your field or industry. As an example, check out  my LinkedIn profile.

One way to use your LinkedIn profile is to stay in touch with contacts you meet at conferences. To that end, we have created an official Linkedin group for RE Connect 2007. To join the group, just click on the link and follow the prompts - group members are identified by a small Connect logo in their profile and will be able contact each other ahead of the conference in San Francisco. Start the networking early and get a jump on setting up those important business meetings!

To see how else you can use LinkedIn, read Guy Kawasaki's LinkedIn Profile Extreme Makeover.

How To Be Creative

Gapingvoid1 "Ignore everybody...Put the work in... Don't try to stand out from the crowd; avoid crowds altogether."

So says gapingvoid.com's Hugh MacLeod in his post "How To Be Creative," in which he offers 31 well-thought-out ways for people to bring more creativity to art, business, or "whatever." One of my personal favorites is his advice to "Sing in your own voice." All along I've been trying to sing in Bob Dylan's.

If you're not familiar with Hugh MacLeod or gapingvoid, do yourself a favor and spend 10 minutes on his site right now and then 1 minute there each day. Make it part of your morning ritual. You'll feel inspired, and be at least a little smarter for your efforts.

Then come see Hugh give the keynote address at this year's Real Estate Connect SF. You'll be glad you did.
